Ask Our Recruiter
This Week's Answer

Question: If I spent a short amount of time with a company should I omit that from my resume?

Recruiter: This goes back to being upfront about yourself. Sometimes you join a new company and they fold soon thereafter. I have seen candidates explain this on their resume by writing Company Closed next to the position. One or possibly two bad moves can be explained. If you have 5 bad moves on your resume perhaps you should spend more time upfront looking for the right fit and learn how to stay somewhere for awhile. If you get restless and move on every 18-24 months take a moment to reflect on how many jobs you will have before you retire.
